Pennar Industries doubling capacity of Chennai plant

To cater to surging demand for hydraulic cylinders from both domestic and global markets, Pennar Industries Ltd (PIL) has announced plans to scale up its hydraulic cylinders manufacturing capacity at its new 45,000 sq ft plant in Periyapalayam, Chennai, from 75,000 to 2,00,000 cylinders per annum. The cylinders are used in construction equipment, material handling, tippers and trailers, aerospace, and defence industries, including agricultural and forestry equipment. VP, Corporate Strategy, KM Sunil informed that Hyderabad-based PIL has more than 25 domestic and global customers such as OEMs, distribution and engineering companies, and over the past two years, the company has supplied more than 1,00,000 hydraulic cylinders to end-users in the US market.
