Pacific India wins Rs.100 cr DMRC's contract

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has recently awarded the contract to develop a shopping mall and multi-level car parking at Dwarka Sector 21 metro station in Delhi to real estate builder Pacific India at an investment of Rs.100 crore. Pacific India, which is also engaged in the hospitality and education business, bagged the project including the construction of a multi-level car parking, at the same sector through a bidding process that involved two other local players, executive director Abhishek Bansal said, elaborating that the company will develop a total of 4.5 lakh sqft area, including a shopping mall of 3 lakh sqft of leasable area and car parking with capacity of 600-700 cars. The total project cost of this metro mall would be funded through internal accruals. The structure of the mall has already been developed by the DMRC and the company will soon start the interior works and launch this mall by March next year, he added.
