Over 30,000 Homes to be Built in Madhya Pradesh for Tribal Families

Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has approved the construction of more than 30,000 houses for tribal families in Madhya Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Highlighting the government’s commitment to uplifting marginalized communities, he stated that PM Modi’s administration is focused on reaching the most deprived and vulnerable sections of society.

Shri Chouhan also announced additional housing targets for 2024-25 under the PM-Janman Mission, which prioritizes the development of 75 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). A total of 4.90 lakh houses are targeted for completion by March 2026.
