Om Metal eyes Rs. 900-cr infra orders

According to the Director Om Metal Infraprojects, Vikas Kothari, his company is all set to secure water infra projects worth Rs.900 crore very shortly. The company has emerged as the highest bidder for irrigation projects being executed by the Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu governments. Apart from taking over Rs.150 crore water projects in Nepal recently, the Indian government’s renewed focus on farming and higher fund allocation to irrigation sector has opened up huge business opportunities for small and mid-sized companies engaged in the sector. The company, which was supplying only hydro-mechanical equipment, has gained expertise in bidding for the entire infrastructure projects including the civil work, he claimed.
