Odisha unveils New Infra Projects

Flyover over Raj Bhavan Nandankanan
To provide hassle-free transport and other facilities to the masses of the area, the state government is planning to construct a flyover over the 14-km road stretch starting from Raj Bhavan-Nandankanan to ease traffic along the busy road stretch. The stretch connecting Shastri Nagar, Jaydev Vihar, Pal Heights, Nayapalli, Chandrasekharpur, Sailashree Vihar, Niladri Vihar, and KIIT witness heavy traffic during peak hours. In this connection, the CM has directed the works department to conduct a feasibility study for the flyover and a parallel alternative road on the route after which the government will release the required funds for the project. Under the process, all the main roads in all sub-divisional headquarters would be upgraded into four lanes. The chief minister, who heads the works department, also directed for completion of the 160 km Rourkela-Sambalpur section of the Biju Expressway by March 2017 and quick completion of the Sohela-Ambapani section, said sources.
