Odisha unveils 5,000 affordable units

Affordable Units in Odisha
In order to build adequate housing units to those belonging to the Economical Weaker Section(EWS) of the society, the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) together with the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will build 10 slum development projects in the city to have new housing stocks and to create 5,000 more residential units for targeted group. The city has already started its work to have over 5000 EWS houses under various public private partnership (PPP) projects. The new initiative will add to this so that more than 10,000 housing stock exclusively for EWS category will be ready soon. The urban bodies are currently scouting proper lands for the projects as they are likely to choose unused land, where slum people are not staying currently.
