Odisha gets ₹54-bn multiple highway projects

The PM will lay the foundation for three highway projects in Odisha entailing a combined investment of ₹53 billion. The projects include the six-lane Chandikhole-Bhadrak section of NH-5 on HAM model costing ₹15.22 billion; the four-lane Cuttack-Angul Section of NH- 42 on EPC model at an investment of ₹19.91 billion; and the six-lane Bhubaneswar-Puintola section of NH-5 of 132.14 km at a cost of ₹19.37 billion. The PM will also lay the foundation stones for the Paradip-Hyderabad Products Pipeline (PHPL) of IOCL involving ₹38 billion investmen; the Bokaro- Angul section of Jagdishpur- Haldia pipeline and the Bokaro-Dhamra pipeline project of GAIL India involving an investment ₹34.37 billion, besides kickstarting construction of the campus of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) at Berhampur, among others.
