Odisha earmarks ₹174-cr for Baramunda terminal

The Odisha government has decided to invest ₹174 crore on modernization of the Baramunda bus terminal, said Housing and Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena. The Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) will be developed on 15.5 acres of land. It will have all the facilities including a G+2 terminal building and a two-storey commercial block, 35 bus bays and parking space for 191 private buses. Apart from ISBT, 416 two BHK and 288 three BHK apartments will be constructed on 7.7 acre at Subudhipur at an investment of ₹200 crore. A 7-storey commercial and residential complex will be constructed at Kalinga Nagar K-9 area at an investment of ₹61 crore. Besides, 128 two BHK apartments will be constructed at Kalinga Nagar with an investment of ₹29 crore. A housing project will also be taken up for the economically weaker sections at Gadakana at a cost of ₹85 crore and a building shopping centre worth ₹30.5 crore.
