Odisha clears Rs. 206-cr infra projects

In its quest to improve infrastructure in backward areas of the state of Odisha, the state government has recently sanctioned projects of Rs. 206.56cr, mainly for Western Odisha and tribal areas. The approved projects, which included several roads and bridges in these areas, included Balangir-Kantabanji-Bangomunda-Chandutora road, Nuapada-Sohela high level bridge, Sumandal-Angar village road, Moter-Jaypatna, Buruda-Arjunpur, Sohela-Nuapada and Rampur-Nakmundia-Nuagaon-Balakumari roads, Dhauli-Sundarpada bypass bridge and expansion of Koraput-Parbatipur-Laxmipur road. In this connection, the CM has directed the departments concerned to fast-track these projects ensuring the execution of the projects within the stipulated time lines.
