Noida clears Rs. 2,668-cr metro expansion

Noida Metro Expansion
In order to make available metro transport facilities to the million masses of the twin satellite cities, the Noida Authority has recently cleared funding pattern for the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail Project entailing an investment of Rs. 2,668.16cr. The 14.958 km metro lines between Sector 71 to Knowledge Park 5 via Greater Noida West will be built at a cost of about 10%, which will be borne by the Greater Noida Authority and five per cent by Noida Authority. 45% of the cost will be taken as loan from banks, 12.95% equity by the Central government and 12.95% equity amount will be shared by the State government. The Noida Board has also given approval for Rs. 126-cr and Rs. 81-cr for development of two metro stations on the route with nine stations - two in Noida and seven in Greater Noida said official sources.
