Nitin Gadkari Reviews NH-53, NH-48 Maintenance & Vadodara–Mumbai Expressway Progress

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inspected ongoing maintenance and black-spot rectification works on the Surat–Hazira stretch of NH-53 and the Surat–Vapi stretch of NH-48. He also reviewed on-ground issues with senior MoRTH officials and stressed the urgent need to complete pending works, improve riding quality, and strengthen road safety on these high-traffic industrial corridors.

Shri Gadkari further inspected Package 6 and Package 7 of the Greenfield Vadodara–Mumbai Expressway, a key part of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. Joined by senior officials from MoRTH and NHAI, he directed teams to ensure strict quality control, timely execution, and enhanced safety at all construction sites.

He said the expressway will dramatically cut travel time and improve connectivity to major industrial hubs and PM Gati Shakti nodes, driving economic growth across Gujarat and Maharashtra.
