NHPC Invites Bids for ₹485 Cr Uri-I Stage-II Hydroelectric Project in J&K

NHPC has invited bids for the electro-mechanical (E&M) works of the 240 MW Uri-I Stage-II hydroelectric project in Baramulla district, Jammu & Kashmir. The estimated cost of the E&M contract is ₹485.40 crore.
Designed as a run-of-river scheme, the project will comprise two generating units of 120 MW each (2x120 MW). The underground powerhouse is situated on the left bank of the Jhelum River near Rajarwani.
The scope of the E&M package (Lot-III) includes the design, manufacture, quality assurance, shop assembly, testing, delivery, storage, preservation, installation, commissioning, performance testing, and final handover. It also includes a two-year guarantee period after commissioning.
