NHIDCL floats bids for ₹125-cr highway project

The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) has invited bids involving the road improvements in Meghalaya in the northeastern region of the country involving an investment of ₹125.01 crore. The scope of work includes upgrading the one-lane road into two lanes with paved shoulder of National Highway-40 section from 81.740 km to 93.490 km (design 0.000 km to 10.670 km) and improvement to a four-lane section of NH-44 from design 0.000 km to 0.930 km, (total length - 11.600 km) in Meghalaya on the Engineering Procurement and Construction basis. The project, which is financed by the JICA under the Loan Assistance (Package-I) requires a completion period of 36 months.
