NHAI unveils twin tunnels worth ₹700 cr

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is all set to start the construction work at the Khambatki Ghat on National Highway 4 for building two tunnels in Satara area in Pune in the state of Maharashtra. The project has been taken to prevent frequent mishaps at this point as the construction will eliminate the S-turn and the commissioning of the project will eliminate accidents and will ensure smooth movement of traffic. As a matter of fact, NHAI has decided to build a new twin tunnel project at an investment of ₹700 crore and the project would be completed in two years, said an official spokesperson.
