NHAI unveils new highways in NCR

NCR Highways
In an attempt to build top-class road network across NCR region, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to build Sohna-Alwar road on a par with National Highways. The decision will also help decongest Sohna and Badshapur roads. It may be recalled that the route already has National Highway status, though it does not match the required standards.

Till now, the road was being looked after by PWD, but recently NHAI took over the road starting from Rajiv Chowk in Gurgaon and ends at the Haryana-Rajasthan border near Naugaon in Ramgarh, Rajasthan, passing through Sohna-Nuh-Firozpur Jhirka-Naugaon commanding a length of 96 km. In fact, it provides an important connectivity to Rajasthan and Haryana, as a lot of domestic products, including dairy, are brought into Gurgaon and to Delhi via this route.
