NHAI is set to start construction work on the much-hyped Pardi flyover, tunnel, and a modern market on the sprawling 4-hectare area in Nagpur at a total cost of ₹665 crore. The project will bring relief to the residents of East Nagpur and ease traffic on the national highway. NHAI will develop the project and hand it over to the Nagpur Municipal Committee. NMC has started the process of acquiring land as the town planning department has cleared a proposal for acquiring land at a cost of ₹81.58 crore. After the general body's approval, NMC will seek funds from the state government. For the modern market, NHAI has proposed a G+4 floor building with about 400 shops and a parking space.
