NHAI to float bids for ₹2,015-cr highway project

NHAI
NHAI will float bids for the ambitious Patna-Dobhi four lane project entailing an investment of ₹2,015 crore, said RCD's principal secretary Amrit Lal Meena, and informed that the project would be split into three parts. The Patna- Dobhi project envisages four laning of the 127 km road connecting NH-2 (Grand Trunk Road) with the state capital, and include construction of 11 major and 17 minor bridges, three service roads, three road over bridges, and 218 culverts. The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is funding the project. In April 24, 2014, NHAI had awarded the ₹2015 crore contract to Gurgaon-based IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company for executing the four-laning project of NH-83, linking the all-important GT road with the state capital and had fixed April 9, 2018 as the deadline, but with the company no longer associated with the project, NHAI will float fresh bids.
