NHAI starts underpass construction on Madurai-Trichy NH
The National Highways Authority of India has started construction work on an underpass at Karungalakudi junction on the Madurai-Trichy national highway. The project will help villagers living in the vicinity to avoid accident prone spots on the highway where the work will be completed in one year after that people can cross the road to access villages on both sides of the highway. Service roads are available on both sides of the road and they will also be widened after the completion of the underpass project. Vehicles travelling on the highways can also feel safer as there would not be any crossing once the project is completed.
