NHAI invites bids for ₹731-cr road contract

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for the four-laning of Amritsar bypass road in Punjab involving an investment of ₹731.24 crore. The scope of work includes the construction of the greenfield bypass alignment from new Tarn Taran Road to Ajnala Road starting from design 0.750 km to design 43.750 km with total design length of 43.00 km and upgrading the existing Amritsar-Khemkaran Road (NH-354) to four-lane configuration from design 71.496 km to design 78.440 km with a total design length of 49.944 km. The project is to be executed on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model under the Bharatmala Pariyojana within a period of 24 months.
