NHAI floats tenders for Rs. 114-cr Udaipur road venture

The NHAI has recently floated tenders for elevated road between Udipole and Court Circle whereby the elevated road between 2 important places of Udaipur city is likely to lessen the load of traffic on Town Hall road, Bapu Bazar, Surajpole, Delhi Gate and Collectorate road. The project, which entailed an investment of Rs. 114 crore, is an elevated stretch and will hereon be termed as NH-927 A and will run from Udiapole to Surajpole and Town Hall. Then from Waqf board building at Delhi Gate to RNT Medical College and end at Ambedkar Circle. Tenders will be opened online from the month of May and approximately 2 years will be required for the construction of the road project. Rock quality test for this elevated road was carried out about one year ago to assess the strength of underlying structure, said NHAI sources.
