NHAI awards Rs.5,443 cr projects to IRB Infra

IRB Infrastructure has recently bagged road projects of Rs.5,443 crore in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. In Gujarat, it has managed to secure Rs.2,043 crore project from NHAI as the company has emerged as a preferred bidder for a hybrid annuity model project where the scope of work included the construction of eight lane Vadodara expressway from 355 km to 378.74 km (Padra to Vadodara section of Vadodara Mumbai Expressway. Similarly in Uttar Pradesh, it has also emerged as the lowest bidder for the project involving the scope of work including six laning of Hapur bypass stretch of NH 24 in the state on DBFOT basis under NHDP Phase-V entailing an investment of Rs.3,400 crore. In this case, the company has offered premium of Rs.31.5 crore to NHAI to be payable from 4th year from the appointed date in terms of Concession Agreement, said NHAI sources.
