NHAI Achieves Tunnel Breakthrough on Raipur–Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has achieved a key milestone on the Raipur–Visakhapatnam economic corridor (NH-130CD) with the successful breakthrough of a 2.79 km left-hand side twin-tube national highway tunnel.
The project is being implemented by NHAI’s Project Implementation Unit (PIU) Abhanpur under the Regional Office, Chhattisgarh.
This achievement marks an important step in boosting connectivity across Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh. Once completed, the corridor is expected to cut travel time between major economic hubs, strengthen regional trade networks, and act as a catalyst for economic growth.
