NCRTC Invites Bids for Commercial Spaces in Delhi-Meerut RRTS Project

NCRTC
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), overseeing the Rs 30,000-crore Delhi-Meerut regional rapid transit system (RRTS) project, has initiated bids for leasing commercial spaces at three stations along the corridor. These efforts aim to transform the stations into vibrant retail hubs, enhancing non-fare revenue for the NCRTC.

Funded by the Asian Development Bank, New Development Bank, and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the RRTS project is set to catalyze economic growth in Ghaziabad, Meerut, and neighboring areas like Modinagar and Muradanagar. Experts anticipate a revival in the real estate markets as the rapid rail network becomes operational.
