Fast tracking the construction of rapid rail network in the NCR, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) Board has recently approved the DPR of the Delhi-Gurugram-SNB RRTS (Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror Urban Complex) rail corridor entailing an investment of ₹24,975 crore. One of the three RRTS corridors prioritized for implementation, the project planned to be implemented in three stages in a phased manner. In stage I, Delhi – Gurugram – Rewari – SNB Urban Complex will be constructed and Stage II will be extended from SNB Urban Complex to Sotanala and in Stage III, SNB Urban Complex to Alwar will be constructed. The highlights of the Delhi-Gurugram-SNB RRTS corridor with length of 106 km (71 km elevated, 35 km underground) with 16 stations and travel time of 70 minutes and the entire project will be completed by 2023. This corridor will converge with other RRTS corridors in Sarai Kale Khan and will be interoperable, facilitating commuters’ movement from one corridor to another without the hassle of changing trains.
