NAREDCO for quicker completion of KMP e-way

Kundli Manesar Palwal Expressway
Real estate developers' association National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) has recently called upon the Haryana government to speed up work for completion of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway (KMP) and it is going to submit its request to the state government on this score. The work on the proposed expressway was supposed to get completed by March 31, but the date has now been extended to mid of June. After completion, the expressway will connect Gurugram to Sonepat and Kundli which are emerging as residential hubs on NH-1. The completion will positively impact the development of Sonepat-Gurugram stretch, which is now becoming a prime real estate destination in the region, President, NAREDCO, Parveen Jain said, adding that KMP, also called the Western Peripheral Expressway, is around 136 km-long and connects Kundli in Sonepat district and Manesar in Gurugram with Palwal district. A number of housing, commercial, and infrastructure projects have been planned along the route. The entire construction has been delayed by over seven years for several reasons including the operational inefficiencies, controversies around land acquisition and various other litigations. The 53-km stretch between Manesar and Palwal has already become operational and opened for public on April 5, last year.
