Mytrah Energy wins 100 MW wind power project

Adding to its project portfolio in the clean energy sector, a Hyderabad-based renewable energy generating company, Mytrah Energy (India) has bagged an order for the development of 100 mw wind power project for the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd (MSEDCL). The company quoted a tariff of ₹2.86 under the reverse e-auction for 200 mw capacity and won the bid to supply power to the utility. In this connection, six companies participated in the reverse bidding, submitting quotes for a cumulative capacity of 821.8 mw and the bidders were given a choice to reduce the quoted capacity during re-auction. Other winners include Adani Green Energy and KCT Renewable Energy, each with 75 mw at ₹2.85, Inox Wind with 50 mw of capacity, Hero Wind Energy with 75.6 mw all three at ₹2.86 and Torrent Power, which bid for 146 mw but was awarded 124.4 mw at ₹2.87. The auction was conducted to procure 500 mw wind power supply from bidders post releasing a tender in December 2017. The LoA was issued by MSEDCL on June 28 followed by the signing of PPA on July 16. The project is to be commissioned within 18 months from the execution of the power purchase agreement, said an official spokesperson.
