Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA)
Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has decided to build 6,000 flats near the ring road. Commissioner, Natesh, informed that MUDA has identified three locations along the ring road for building apartments. The authority will build 2,000 houses at each location, consisting of single, two-bed and three-bedroom flats. The objective of the project is to provide good quality flats with all facilities at affordable rates to the people and the project is all set to start in the next couple of months. The top brass of MUDA will visit the site where the Bangalore Development Authority has built such projects before finalizing a detailed plan to build similar housing complexes in Mysuru. MUDA chairperson H V Rajeev said that there were long-pending proposals to build apartments in Mysuru but people of the city were sceptical about such high-rise buildings. However, the authority had to go vertical for matching the housing requirement in the city.
