Accelerating the infra building projects within its jurisdiction, the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has set aside a staggering sum worth Rs. 251.69-cr to implement multiple infra projects during the current financial year. The projects included building new roads and upgrading the existing ones and also extending drainage system and developing parks. Apart from these, a sewage treatment plant will be established close to Nachanahally-Koppallur area to address the solid waste management issues as the nodal agency has already identified 3.18 acres of land for the purpose. The authority has also agreed to hand over 50% of the developed sites to the original land owners in lieu of acquiring land at Nachanahally, Dattagalli and surrounding areas for the purpose.
