MSRDC approves road widening worth ₹213-cr

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is all set to start the construction work on the sixth lane of the road from Shil Phata to Kalyan at a cost of ₹213 crore. The project in question will help people from Navi Mumbai, Bhiwandi, Kalyan-Dombivali, and Ambarnath as the 21-km road currently has four lanes but the land acquisition for six lanes has been completed for 16-km out of the 21-km and that the state PWD has been directed to start work as quickly as possible prompting the shifting of the utilities on war footing. Since the road is also facing heavy traffic at Katai Naka in Dombivali and Patri Bridge in Kalyan in view of this, the construction of the new bridge at Patri Naka, Kalyan, has also been included in the project in question, said MSRDC sources.
