MP pushes funds for highway building

In order to build new and upgrade the existing roads, the state government in Madhya Pradesh has approve a a staggering sum worth Rs.431.74 crore for the current financial year, minister of state for highway, Pon. Radhakrishnan, said claiming that the allocated amount is likely to be spent on National Highways 26A, 86 Ext., 59A, 59, 86, 76 and 146 across the state. These seven highways will also get all the necessary wayside amenities including well built local road connectivity and the move will not only benefit truckers and other highway users but will also go a long way in uplifting the socio economic conditions of the people living in these areas, he added.
