MP launches Rs. 1,855-cr road projects

In the fast-emerging scenario in Jabalpur area of Madhya Pradesh where the township is becoming a metro city and to add to the momentum, the state government has recently cleared road projects of Rs. 1,855cr, which were readily approved by the Union government. The projects included the 112-km long ring road venture entailing investment of Rs. 1,100-cr and a sum of Rs. 755-cr would also be spent on construction of flyover in Jabalpur city. The work on two recently sanctioned projects would be carried out keeping in mind planning of the city for the next 25 years. Owing to vast expansion of Jabalpur, requirement of expanded ring road had become a necessity and the Central government also fast-tracked the project after it got necessary clearance from the state government.
