Ministry of Road Transport and Highways
The road transport ministry is launching road projects of Rs.15,000 crore in Telangana in the first week of this month. The projects included laying of foundation stone for the Outer Ring Road to Medak, six-lane highway from Aramaghar to Shamshabad and two flyovers - one at Amberpet and another at Uppal, said an official spokesperson. The government of the day has planned to double road network in Telangana to more than 5,000 km from the 2,647 km currently. The centre has urged the state government functionaries to immediately earmark land and other essential facilities needed for speedy establishment of the prestigious medical institute without any delay as both the states have been given funds much more than what they had ever obtained from the preceding governments at the Centre.
