The Union transport minister has laid foundation stones for highway projects of ₹4,300 crore in Uttar Pradesh and aim at paving the way for faster development of the state. The projects will be of 363-km length. These roads will enhance better connectivity, convenience and economic growth in and around the state. It will ensure smooth movement of people and goods to and from UP, especially with the neighbouring states. These projects will decongest roads and the towns en-route, leading to improved road experience. It will save time and fuel and also lower the emission of pollutants.
