MoRTH Gives Out the Status of Key Highway Projects in Himachal Pradesh
Highway projects in Himachal Pradesh have faced delays due to pre-construction challenges, statutory clearance issues, financial problems among contractors, material shortages, and force majeure events. To expedite progress, the government has implemented measures such as streamlining land acquisition, revamping the Parivesh Portal for faster forest and environmental clearances, enabling online approvals for General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) of ROB/RUBs, and conducting regular review meetings with stakeholders, including state governments.

Parwanoo – Solan – Shimla – Dhalli Projects
- Parwanoo-Solan (NH-5): Completed.
- Solan-Kaithalighat (NH-5): 85.17% completed.
- Shimla Bypass Package-I (Kaithalighat to Shakral, NH-5): 25% completed.
- Shimla Bypass Package-II (Shakral to Dhalli, NH-5): 14% completed.
- Pinjore-Baddi-Nalagarh (NH-105): 37% completed.
Shimla-Mataur Projects
- Shimla-Mataur Pkg-5B (Bhangbar to Kangra Bypass, NH-303/503): 82.64% completed.
- Shimla-Mataur Pkg-4 (Chilbahal to Bhangbar, NH-03/303): 51.11% completed.
- Shimla-Mataur Hamirpur Bypass (NH-103/03): 54.24% completed.
Pathankot-Chakki-Mandi Projects
- Pathankot-Mandi Pkg-IA (HP/Punjab Border to Mo, NH-154): 40.97% completed.
- Pkg-1B (Mo to Sihuni): 98.20% completed.
- Pkg-2A (Sihuni to Rajol): 41.50% completed.
- Pkg-2B (Rajol to Thanpuri): DPR in progress.
- Pkg-2C (Thanpuri to Paror): 6.53% completed.
- Pkg-3 (Paror to Chauntra): Fresh DPR to be initiated.

- Ner Chowk-Pandoh (NH-03): 92.60% completed.

Despite delays, substantial progress has been made on many projects, with government initiatives ensuring accelerated completion to enhance connectivity in Himachal Pradesh.
