MoRTH Allocates ₹718.26 cr for Daringbadi Ghat Section Widening
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, has announced an allocation of ₹718.26 crore for the widening and strengthening of the Daringbadi Ghat section on National Highway-59 in Odisha. Spanning Kandhamal and Ganjam districts, the project aims to address challenges posed by a narrow carriageway and suboptimal geometrics, improving connectivity for long-route vehicles from western Odisha. This enhancement will elevate highway standards, enhance safety, and ensure all-weather connectivity, particularly beneficial for tourism during winter.
