ROB-project
The Ministry of Ports Shipping and Waterways has approved the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) at LC-235 at Deendayal Port Authority, with an estimated cost of Rs 132.51 crore.

The project, being executed by Western Railway on a deposit basis, is aimed at improving port connectivity by eliminating level crossing constraints and enabling seamless movement of cargo traffic.

Once completed, the ROB will facilitate uninterrupted rail and road movement, reduce congestion, and enhance cargo evacuation efficiency at the port. The project is expected to strengthen logistics operations and support faster turnaround of port-bound traffic.

The project is part of the government’s Sagarmala Programme and aligns with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, aimed at improving multi-modal connectivity and boosting logistics efficiency across the country.
