Trichy Railway embarks on Rs 13.73-cr revamp for Tiruvarur & Karaikal Stations
Tiruvarur and Karaikal stations in Trichy railway division are set for a makeover with a ₹13.73 crore infrastructure upgrade. The project includes extending and enhancing station buildings, constructing entrance arches, and creating landscaped circulating areas. Improved parking, pedestrian walkways, and new toilet facilities aim to enhance commuter convenience. Platforms will feature benches, water taps, aesthetic shelters, ramps for accessibility, and tactile flooring for the visually impaired. The overall ambiance and aesthetics of the well-connected stations will receive a significant boost.
