RLDA invites proposal for ₹215-cr upgrade of Gurgaon Railway Station

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA)
The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has issued a Request for Proposal for the renovation of the Gurgaon Railway Station at a cost of ₹215 crore. The project, which is considered a "lighthouse project", will utilize pre-engineered and pre-fab construction methods to reduce the construction time and minimize inconvenience for passengers. If successful, this modular concept will be replicated in other station development projects across the Indian Railway Network. Gurgaon is a rapidly developing area with a high demand for residential, retail, and commercial development, and the upgraded railway station will support this growth by providing state-of-the-art facilities, including commercial and retail spaces, a food court, paid lounge, and office spaces. The station will also incorporate the Green Building concept and adhere to a life-cycle cost minimization approach. Additional lifts and escalators will be installed to increase capacity and accommodate more passengers at a time.
