Pune Metro explores expansion with consultant appointment
The Pune Metro Rail Development Authority (PMRDA) is set to appoint a consultant for extending the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar line to Hadapsar-Loni Kalbhor. The consultant will assess the 19 km Shivajinagar to Loni Kalbhor stretch's feasibility under the PPP model. Additionally, a joint effort by MahaMetro and PMRDA will see the consultant studying a 25 km extension from Swargate to Khadakwasla. The report, expected within 60 days, will be submitted to the state government for project implementation, with costs shared between MahaMetro and PMRDA.
