Odisha steers clears Rs. 5,929-cr metro rail project
The Odisha government has approved the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the first phase of the Rs. 5,900 crores metro rail project. The state government will fully bear the cost of the project, which is slated to be completed in 48 months. The Bhubaneswar metro is a landmark project for the state as it will further strengthen the public transport in the city and enable its economic growth. The entire alignment of the metro rail project from Trisulia Square to Bhubaneswar airport will be on an elevated structure comprising 20 stations.
