New 28km metro route in Delhi NCR proposed; RITES to conduct ESIA
Rail India Technical and Economic Services (RITES) is set to conduct an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for a new 28 km metro route in Gurugram, Delhi NCR. The ESIA report is slated for submission to the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) by January 31, 2024. With a budget allocation of ₹1.40 crore, the proposed metro route aims to connect old Gurugram, benefiting residents with easy access to metro services from their homes. The route envisions 27 metro stations, serving approximately 100 colonies in the region.
