Kalpataru-Gulermak JV to construct underground Kanpur Metro line
Kalpataru Projects International (KPIL) and Gulermak, a joint venture (KPIL-Gulermak JV), has emerged as the lowest bidder for the construction of the underground section of 8.6 km Line-2 (Rawatpur-Jaurali) of Kanpur Metro, comprising 8 stations. Under Phase-1, the metro will connect the agriculture depot with the Double Pullia ramp through three underground stations at Rawatpur, Kakadeo and Double Pullia. This section, with twin tunnels is expected to be approxiately 3.2 km long. The project’s estimated cost is Rs. 1,025 crore and has a completion period of 30 months.
