Kerala Rail
The Kerala Rail Development Corporation (K-Rail) will build flyovers over 42 level crossings on the Silver Line Shorannur-Mangaluru route. This decision was taken in the meeting of the State Chief Secretary and Railway Board Chairman. However, the Southern Railways has not permitted to build flyovers over level crossings. It will be constructed as part of the Silver Line project. The Chief Secretary informed that K-Rail will provide ₹1,400 crores to the railways and assured that land worth ₹975 crores allotted to the Silver Line by the railways will be considered as the share of railways. The project will be an asset to both state and railways. The officers in charge of the railway division and K-Rail officials will carry out a combined inspection over the land procurement.
