New Station Near Khatu Shyam Ji Temple in Rajasthan
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that Indian Railways will construct a new railway station near the Khatu Shyam Ji Temple in Rajasthan to improve rail connectivity and passenger facilities for devotees visiting the renowned pilgrimage destination.

The announcement was made during a meeting with a delegation from the Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Temple Trust, which included former Sikar MP Sumedhanand Saraswati, Rajasthan Urban Development and Housing Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra, and representatives of the Shri Shyam Mandir Committee.

The proposed station will be developed on the Sikar-Ringas rail section between Palsana and Baori Thikria stations. Located around 11 km from the Khatu Shyam Ji Temple, the station is expected to provide safer and more convenient rail access for the lakhs of pilgrims visiting the shrine every year.

Vaishnaw said the project will begin with technical and engineering works, including signalling, construction of the new railway line and its integration with the existing rail network. Construction of the station building will commence after the completion of these preliminary works.

The new station will be designed in line with Rajasthan's architectural and cultural heritage while incorporating modern passenger amenities. It will feature a booking office, spacious waiting halls, clean toilets and other facilities aimed at improving the travel experience for passengers.

According to the Railways, the project will not only enhance connectivity to the pilgrimage centre but also promote tourism, strengthen regional connectivity, stimulate local economic activity and augment railway infrastructure in the region.

The proposed station is part of Indian Railways' ongoing efforts to develop modern, passenger-centric infrastructure while addressing the growing mobility needs of pilgrims and local communities.
