Indian Railways has approved the introduction of the daily Train No. 51673/51674 Itarsi–Madan Mahal Passenger, strengthening rail connectivity across central Madhya Pradesh. The new service will improve travel between Itarsi and Jabalpur (Madan Mahal) while enhancing connectivity for passengers at key intermediate stations.

Train No. 51673 Itarsi–Madan Mahal Passenger will depart Itarsi Junction at 11:40 hrs and arrive at Madan Mahal at 16:45 hrs. The return service, Train No. 51674 Madan Mahal–Itarsi Passenger, will leave Madan Mahal at 17:50 hrs and reach Itarsi Junction at 22:55 hrs.

Covering 242 km in approximately 5 hours and 5 minutes, the train will halt at Bagra Tawa, Sohagpur, Pipariya, Bankhedi, Salichauka Road, Gadarwara, Kareli, Narsinghpur and Sridham, improving rail access for passengers across the Jabalpur–Narmadapuram corridor.

The new passenger service will strengthen regional connectivity by linking smaller towns with the major railway hubs of Itarsi and Jabalpur. It is expected to benefit daily commuters, students, workers, pilgrims and other short-distance travellers by providing an affordable travel option and better access to employment, education, healthcare and commercial centres. The service will also improve onward connectivity from Itarsi to major destinations across the country.

The introduction of the daily Itarsi–Madan Mahal Passenger reflects Indian Railways' continued focus on expanding regional rail connectivity, improving passenger convenience and providing affordable transport services across Madhya Pradesh.
