Fast progress on Kanpur metro's Baradevi-Naubasta elevated section
The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation is accelerating the construction of the 5 km Baradevi-Naubasta elevated section of Corridor-1 (IIT to Naubasta) in the Kanpur Metro Rail Project. Managing Director Sushil Kumar announced that civil construction is advancing rapidly, with 200 out of 276 pillars completed. This section will feature five metro stations, connecting Baradevi, Kidwai Nagar, Vasant Vihar, Boudh Nagar, and Naubasta. Following the successful launch of commercial service on the priority section (IIT to Motijheel) in December 2021, the corporation is on track to complete all work within the stipulated time.
