CMRL fast-tracks rapid transit system for tier-two cities
The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has fast-tracked the work on the final feasibility report for a suitable mass rapid transit system (MRTS) in tier-two cities including Madurai, Trichy, Tirunelveli and Salem. The report is likely to be completed in the next two months. The consultant, Balaji Rail Road Systems Private Ltd, has won the tender for preparing the feasibility study report for the implementation of a suitable mass rapid transit system.
