Agra Metro Initiates Tunneling for 2.2km Stretch from RBS College Ramp

Agra Metro has commenced tunneling work on a 2.2 km stretch, starting from RBS College Ramp towards Agra College Interchange Station. The launch marks the deployment of the third Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), named Shivaji (TBMS-718C), for the Agra Metro Phase 1 project's Package AGCC-02. The TBM was recently lowered into the RBS ramp and is expected to achieve two breakthroughs, notably at RBS College Station and Raja Ki Mandi Station. The civil package spans 7.93 km, connecting 7 stations at Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Jama Masjid, SN Medical College, Agra College, Raja ki Mandi, and RBS College. The contract, awarded to Afcons Infrastructure – Sam India JV, has a cost of Rs 1819.79 crore and a 48-month deadline.
