MDDA to deliver 400 affordable housing units

Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA)
The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) will build a housing complex with more than 400 flats for economically weaker sections and middle income families in Dhaulas on the outskirts of Dehradun, superintendent engineer Sanjeev Jain said adding that land for this purpose has already been identified and transferred to MDDA by the state government and a Detailed Project Report (DPR) is ready and handed over to the urban development ministry and the entire project will be completed by 2020. The housing complex will have around 250 flats for EWS families and 150 for middle income group. The EWS families who will be allocated houses have been identified and they will be given housing units at a cost than Rs 6 lakh per unit. Middle income families will have to shell out more but the selling price has not been decided. The flats would be built using Monolithic Aluminium Concrete technology which uses an aluminum plastic composite to casting walls, floors, slabs etc. The new technology is faster and would bring down the project completion date by a year, he claimed.
