Lucknow goes vertical, allows multi-storied structures

multi-storied structures
In an attempt to bring housing unit buying an easier affair in the city, the Lucknow Development Authority Board (LDA) has recently relaxed the minimum limit of land required to build multistoried buildings to 150 sq mt from 300 sq mt earlier. The rule will apply on both government agencies and private builders, who will also have to abide by the building bylaws like maintaining the green area, plinth area, creating proper infrastructure like drains, sewerage network, supply lines and also ensure compliance with firefighting norms. Though LDA apartments are cheaper than those developed by private builders but only few get the benefit due to the lottery system. The move will not only ensure brisk business for property builders but also brings the prices of apartments within the reach of common home buyers, said an official spokesperson.
